Mission Statement:
New Song Community Church is a community of Christians committed to glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ and proclaiming the Good News of His Kingdom in the Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood of West Baltimore as a part of His church there. We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). In obedience to the Biblical mandate for righteousness and reconciliation, New Song seeks to build relationships across racial and economic barriers, to confront injustices, and to empower the people of the Sandtown community. The foundation for this calling is Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, realizing that “He himself is our peace” (Ephesians 2:14). With the conviction that Christ has obligated the church to serve in the city for the city, that people with hope can change their neighborhoods and can live together and serve with dignity, New Song seeks to foster ministries which promote the physical and spiritual health of the neighborhood. To accomplish this mission, New Song will actively pursue wholistic ministries such as housing renovation, health care, job training, youth outreach, and educational enrichment for children and youth. Our commitment is to evangelism, discipleship, and empowerment through servanthood in imitation of Jesus Christ.
